In case you missed them, here are March and April progress pictures of the house.

photo1

#1 Final stages of the chimney. Once complete the final roofing can be complete.

Photo2

#2 Siding has started with dipped shingles...gives protection to both sides. Color is Cabot's BEACHGRASS Very rainy April has slowed progress.

Photo3

#3 Entry way with pillar. Steps will be added soon. Door-Anne will make a custom mahogany door soon.

Photo4

#4 Back view showing almost complete chimney. Notice that the stone will not be all the way up. The cement blocks in the porch will be covered in wood.

Photo5

#5 Spring at last! Had to mow the grass. Chimney-Fred on scaffolding.

Photo6

#6 Boring shot , but due to the local building code one has to have the frame bolted down to withstand 150 MPH windshear. Both the one to the left of the electrical box and the one in the corner are bolted into the concrete base.

Photo7

#7 Also code says that ceiling joists have to be tied down by metal braces. In case of a hurricane it will be the safest place in RI.

Photo8

#8 Instead of baseboard or vents these "E-T type heating ducts will keep the office (3rd bedroom) warm. House has three zone heating.

Photo9

#9 We love that curved window for master bedroom. Notice nice flair out at base of shingles. Builder -Jim and Jimmy and Steve do nice artistic touch.

Photo10

#10 Close view of porch area showing the beautiful detail with the molding that made architect-Nancy very happy. Great detail!
